Colin Ganges – Alumni Fellow

Colin Ganges is a New Jersey native and graduate of Guilford College (’19) where he majored in Philosophy. During his junior year, he studied at the University of Oxford and St. Clare’s in Oxford, England. As a member of the Honors Program, he wrote a senior thesis entitled “Justifying Egalitarian Redistribution within Nozick’s Minimal State”.

While at Guilford, Colin began working in politics and served as a Campaign Fellow for Kathy Manning’s 2018 U.S. Congressional campaign. As a sophomore, he became involved with The Institute by participating in the Greensboro Collegiate Institute, followed by his acceptance into the Washington, D.C. Program – Class of 2019. During his first summer in D.C., Colin was a legislative intern in charge of research related to immigration policy for Congressman Al Green (D-TX) and during the second summer, he interned with the National Consumers League, where he lobbied on Capitol Hill for the Child Labor Coalition and on issues concerning privacy policy.

Before graduating and assuming his current position as Alumni Fellow for The Institute, Colin also worked as a Special Projects Researcher for Fenway Strategies, a speechwriting firm in Washington D.C.

“The Institute taught me to develop a spirit of inquiry. Information is the source of creativity, credibility, and leadership. Those who do not inquire are not fully prepared to serve.”
